Rohy — Virtual Patient Simulator

Rohy is an open-source virtual patient simulation platform for medical education. It features a real-time patient monitor with clinically accurate ECG waveforms, a laboratory system with 695 tests and gender-specific reference ranges, progressive clinical scenarios where the patient deteriorates or improves over time, and AI-powered patient conversations driven by the clinical context.

The system runs entirely in the browser, requires only Node.js to set up, and is free under the MIT license. Instructors can create cases, configure lab values, trigger scenarios, and edit vitals in real time during a simulation. Every interaction is logged and exportable for debriefing and research. See the blog post for the full story and the feature overview for a quick reference.
